GOOD NEWS!
The Beam Me Up Ska-Ts are opening for the amazing Koo Koo Kangaroo on July 28th at The Basement in Ogden, UT!!  You do NOT want to miss this!  It will be one of the most epic dance parties you will ever encounter!  This is an ALL AGES SHOW!  You should bring all of your children and little people!  They will love it!  We have tickets for only $10!  Or you can purchase them here!

BAD NEWS!
Our beloved bass player, Jayson, will be discontinuing his services to the band.  Effective July 29th.  :'(  Everyone will weep, nations will fall and Santa will cease to exist.  So everyone should come to the show on the 28th to bid him farewell!  We will all miss Jayson!

Just a little update for all of you crazy cats!

First of all!  On April 23rd, we played in Round 2 of the Tournament of Champions!  We played an AWESOME show!  It was a lot of fun for all who were in our presence!  Needless to say, we did not advance to the final round.  BUT!  We would like to encourage you all to support the rest of the tournament if you can!  Still gonna be a good show!  And who knows, maybe we'll be the wild card?

THIS JUST IN!  We will be opening for Two and a Half White Guys on June 3rd at The Basement!!  This show is gonna ROCK!!!  If you really love ska, you must come to this show!  They are amazing!  It shall be an honor to share the stage with such greatness!  Check them out HERE!!!

So I'm not sure if you noticed, but we changed up the look of our blog!  At the top, you will notice links.  Those links are links to friends of us.  So be sure to check them out if you haven't!

If you look at the very top, you'll notice the name of the blog and all that looks fancier and what have you.  We then gave the wallpaper a new look!  Don't you like it??  It's us!!  Cool huh?  Not really, but it's better.

We have also added a crazy new VLOG!!  Video+Blog=VLOG!  Crazy, right??  So we will start recording videos that you can watch!  AMAZING!

We also KICKED BUTT in Round 1 of the Tournament of Champions!  Just an FYI!  So now we have moved to ROUND 2!  Please buy tickets from us!  They are only $5!  And with each ticket purchase, you can enter one name into the drawing of awesomeness!  The night of our show, we will draw a name from all the ticket buyers from our presale for a BEAM ME UP SKA-TS PRIZE PACK!!!  NIFTY!!  The crazy round 2 will be held on APRIL 23!!  Be there!  We need you!  We want you!  We love you.

Sorry for the delay in updates!

Just a couple reminders!  First, we have a show on March 18th!  Wee!  That will be with the ever so awesome Sparks Fire!  Click the link to get more info!  We will be playing some new stuff that night as well!

Next, we have another show on April 1st!  And no, this is not a joke!  We have a show at The Basement for round 1 of The Tournament of Champions!  Tickets are on presale now for only $5!  It'll be $7 at the door!  Please contact us here or here!  We will hand deliver them to your house if need be!

Also, one of our new trombone players, Trent, has developed a nasty abscess in his mouth!  Cool, huh?!  Not really though!  He won't be able to play for awhile!  Sad face!  So be nice to Trent!  Send him some money or something!  Anywho, hopefully we'll see you all on March 18th!!

What the flip is going on?!

Where to start??  We achieved TWO MORE horn players!  We have Cam Rose on Trombone #2 and we have Phil Charles on the Sax!  Hopefully we can get them all ready by MARCH 18TH for our show with SPARKS FIRE!

We are also working on our new theme song for the wonderful Geek Show Podcast! It sounds pretty freakin' sweet so far!  We think you'll enjoy.  You can hear our current theme song by subscribing to the Geek Show Podcast on iTunes!

Also, tomorrow is Valentines Day!  So...HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!!!

UPDATE!! - 1/26/2011

Hey everyone!  Long time, no see!  Just thought we should update everyone on what's going on.  We have a new member to our band!  His name is Trent Hunsaker.  Everyone say hi.  We are also looking at picking up another tromboner and a sax!  Should be awesome.

We just played a show at The Basement on January 21 and it was pretty sweet!  We had a lot of dancing going on when we  unleashed our new song, "Skankin'" on the audience!  If you weren't there, you missed out!  As some of you may know, that was our last show with the one, great Adam Whetton!  He has left us today to go serve honorably in Guadalajara, Mexico!  Be sure to write him and tell him how awesome he is!  He'll be back in 2 years to rock with us again!

We have some upcoming shows, which will be posted once they are 100% confirmed!
